- Open Garage Band from the Applications menu (if it isn't already in your dock).
- The first screen that should pop up should have "New Project" with eight options to choose from, like Piano, Guitar, Podcast, and more.
- Select Podcast. A "Save As" dialogue box will pop up. Save the project in the same manner as you did your photos (first initial, last name - one or two word description. Ex. SGlunt - Zeus Music
- This brings up your main control board.
- In the bottom right hand corner is an EYE icon (not the "i" with the circle but an actual eye). Click on the EYE.
- In the top right side, categories appear: All Effects, Jingles, Stingers, etc. Select JINGLES.
- Cinematic and Orchestral offer the most appropriate music, but check the others if you would like as well.
- From there, you will get a listing in the bottom part of the right hand page of all of the music selections available. Click to preview and listen.
- Look at the top left corner of the control board. You will see "Podcast", "Male Voice", "Female Voice" and "Jingles".
- When you find one that you like, CLICK and DRAG it to the top center part of the control board NEXT to where it says "Jingle".
- You need to have about 1 minute of music for your page, so you will probably need to add it a few times. Simply drag it again and place it at the end of the previous song.
- You can set songs to play together by dragging additional songs and placing them beneath the main song. This will add another "Jingles" category.
- When finished with your song selection, save your file again.
- Go to "Share" from the toolbar
- Select "Send Podcast to iTunes"
- In the dialogue box that pops up, find "Compress Using" and make sure you select "MP3 Encoder" then select "Share"
- Click "Continue" when the dialogue box saying "This project will not export as an enhanced Podcast"
- Allow it to filter through as needed for it to go to your iTunes library.
- From your Wikispace project page, go into the "Edit" mode. Place your cursor under your widget for sparkle text.
- Click on "File" from the toolbar.
- Select "Upload files"
- Find your file in the "Music" folder under iTunes. Push "Select"
- Wait for your file to appear in the dialog box, then click on it. It should appear on your page in edit mode.
- "Save", and it should take you back to your main page for you to push play.
